What this is

So, starting today, I will be trying to constantly post on my new blog that hopefully I won't tire of (like a lot of my other projects). This new project is Fire Emblem: The Crystal Bonds. This isn't a fangame. I don't have the resources or the abilities to make my dream a reality, and even though it'd be awesome to make it a real game, I would never pour my life into learning the necessary skills to make a video game, because my brain really just isn't built for those types of skills.

The Crystal Bonds is more of a "what if?" What if I could make an FE game? What would I add, what would I fix or change, what would I keep? My characters, my plot, my continent, what would it all be like? Would people like it, would it inspire them? I've made this content in my massive amounts of free-time, I've spent months, possibly years, of time on these ideas.

Why? Because it's fun. Because I saw an option: I could either post things to Serenes Forest to fade into the forums, or I could make my own format for my own work. And because why not? What's the harm in a little experimentation?

 This blog is here to get more people to read my work, because it seems more people read my previous Blogger work (which is all really old now) than there are reading my Weebly blog. This blog will have posts less consistently, and if you'd like to read posts as soon as they are up, it's better you read my Weebly blog, but the format for Blogger may just seem better for some, I can understand that.

I have never had enough patience to train healers. There is never enough opportunities for healers to gain experience, because my units don't take significant damage often once they've gained around 10 levels, and when I'm at that point with my other units, it means my healers have probably leveled up three or four times. Adventures in FE Hacking 1

So, I have been hacking FE7 for fun. I also wanted to see how my characters' growth rates work out, and despite the lack of the ability to have both magic and strength, and the brain-dead easy enemies making my units look like deities, I have gotten a general idea of what to do with the units. I will be writing today on the first two or three chapters of FE7 that I did, the adventures of Lyn, Sain, and Kent, AKA not Taren, not Tenn, and not Tyken, respectively. I altered the characters' palettes (blonde Lyn for the win), I altered their bases and growths (good Lord Lyn is awful, I'm so glad you weren't forced to use her after her part of the story, and also glad I got to change her stats), and I had to put in several cheats to repair the tutorial :/ Oops. Weekly Unit Spotlight: Karti

Karti, the silver-haired archer, with a penchant for perfect shots. Her description: A RESERVED ARCHER KNOWN FOR KEEPING GILL COMPANY, SHE SEES HIM AS THE FATHER SHE NEVER HAD, AS HE ADOPTED HER AND TRAINED HER INTO THE ARMY AFTER NOTING HER POTENTIAL.
